A fully written and designed Tokyo guidebook never saw the light of day, but I’m still glad I got to go through the process of writing it.
This was the second update I did for the Japan guidebook, which took me to all of the farthest corners of the country and threw me into all sorts of strange cultural experiences.
The first version of the Japan book – what an adventure! Many many kilometers on the road, many many phone calls.
I had the pleasure of contributing a chapter to this collection of walks across the varied landscape of Kyoto, my home in Japan for 10 years.
